The short version
We collect as little as we can. Photos you add to a template stay on your device. Your Strava data is used only to fill in your own templates and is shown only to you, unless you choose to publish an image.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, and a display name if you publish to the gallery.
- Strava, if you connect it: your Strava athlete ID, access tokens (encrypted), and for your runs only: name, date, distance, time, elevation, heart rate, cadence, the route outline and per-km splits.
- Gallery posts: the finished image you choose to publish, its caption and your display name.
- Usage: which templates are viewed, chosen, downloaded and shared, with a random browser ID. We use this to count how often each template is used. It contains no run data.
What we don’t collect
- Photos you add to a template. They are combined into the image in your browser and never uploaded, unless you publish the finished image.
- Runs you type in by hand. They stay in your browser.
- Payment details. Run4Life is free.
Strava data
- We read your runs only to fill in your templates, and we show them only to you.
- We never sell your Strava data, share it with other users, or use it to train AI models.
- You can disconnect Strava at any time from your account. We then delete your tokens and every run we stored. The same happens automatically if you revoke Run4Life’s access in Strava’s settings.
Who receives your data
- Strava, to read your runs when you connect.
- Resend, to send sign-in emails.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the database and published images.
Your rights
You can download all your data or delete your account from your account page. Deleting your account removes your Strava data, your gallery posts and their images. Template usage counts are kept, with your account removed from them.
